Publicly advertised Dubai offers include a social content shoot from AED 2,500, corporate video production from AED 8,000 and a main film with social cutdowns from AED 18,000. These are examples from a small sample of published offers reviewed in September 2026, not a Dubai market average or prices for the same production.

The useful budget depends on what you need to receive. A crew recording footage, a finished company film and a monthly series of presenter videos are different purchases. Start with the finished result, then work back to the production it requires.

What do those Dubai prices actually cover?

The sample covers different ways of producing video, from stock-based editing to a multi-day campaign. Each figure belongs to the stated offer, not to every project in that category.

Production requirement Advertised price example What that example covers
Editing with stock and basic graphics AED 1,500–2,500 Editing, stock footage, basic motion graphics, titles, voiceover and music. Package details.
Compact social-content shoot From AED 2,500, excluding VAT Four hours of production, 3–4 edited short videos and 20–30 edited photos. Social production pricing.
Bespoke corporate video From AED 8,000, excluding VAT Production from concept to final cut, with the script, cast, locations and delivery determining the final scope. Corporate rate card.
Main film with social cutdowns From AED 18,000, excluding VAT A 2–4-minute main film and three social cutdowns, with creative preparation, filming and post-production. Film package.
Larger brand campaign From AED 45,000, excluding VAT Expanded creative work, multiple shoot days and multiple films with shorter versions. Campaign package.

This is pricing context, not a ranking of suppliers or quality. A stock-based explanation, a shoot showing your operation and a campaign built around several films solve different problems. Check the final scope and applicable tax before using any advertised figure as your budget.

Keep three purchases separate: crew time, a finished bespoke project and recurring production. A filming fee may leave preparation and editing to your team; a project package may include them. A monthly content series is a different brief again.

Lunasol's video production starting points

For businesses that need clear, presenter-led content, Lunasol offers defined monthly production packages:

  • AED 2,000 per month: five Reels, including an English- or Arabic-speaking actor, studio recording, filming and editing.
  • AED 5,000 per month: two long-form YouTube videos and nine Reels, including an English- or Arabic-speaking actor, studio recording, filming and editing.

These are monthly production options, not quotes for a bespoke location-based brand film. They give a business a concrete way to commission finished content with the presenter, studio and edit coordinated together. Lunasol video plans and production options.

The base prices use client-supplied, recording-ready scripts; writing can be added. Budget separately for publishing or social management, and specify paid advertising use because the base packages do not include those usage rights.

Lunasol also produces company explainers, FAQ videos, podcasts and e-learning content. The right format follows the job the video needs to do; a custom brief should be priced around that requirement.

Why two videos of the same length can cost different amounts

Imagine two 90-second videos for a Dubai business.

The first explains a service through a presenter in a controlled studio setting. The second follows that service being delivered at several locations, with customer interviews and footage of the team at work.

Their finished running time is identical. Their production requirements are not. The second brief involves coordinating access, people, travel, different filming setups and more material to edit. The first may be the right choice for a clear explanation; the second may be worth commissioning when viewers need to see the actual operation.

Decide what the video must show, not only how long it should last. That choice often matters more to the brief than adding another sentence or removing a few seconds.

Where the production budget goes

A useful budget accounts for the work before filming, the shoot itself and the finished delivery. Each stage should serve a visible purpose.

Budget decision What you are paying for How to keep the spending purposeful
Message and preparation Concept, script development, shot planning and coordination where required Approve the offer and essential points before recording
People on camera Presenters, actors, interview participants or voice talent Choose who can credibly deliver the message and define the intended usage
Filming Crew, equipment, time, location and practical access Prioritise the scenes that prove or explain something important
Post-production Editing, sound, colour, graphics and agreed revisions Specify the level of finish using relevant examples
Finished versions Different edits, languages, subtitles and screen formats Commission the versions you will actually use

A price covering only the filming row leaves other work to be funded or completed by your team. Conversely, a clearly defined package may combine several rows into one fee. Do not add the same included cost twice.

Preparation and changes to the brief

Agree the central message, factual claims and must-have shots before filming. If the offer changes after recording, the work may go beyond an editing revision and require another performance or shoot.

Appoint someone who can give consolidated feedback. Several people requesting incompatible changes can turn a straightforward approval into repeated editing work.

Locations and filming in Dubai

Specify the actual filming location rather than simply writing “Dubai”. A studio explanation, a working showroom and a shoot across several customer sites need different arrangements.

The Dubai Film and TV Commission requires permits for media production at government and private locations, including advertisements and short-form video. Its guidance requires a UAE-licensed production company to obtain the permit and a no-objection certificate (NOC) from the owner of private premises. Establish who takes responsibility for that arrangement and which permit and location fees are included. DFTC filming guidance, official fee guidance.

Check whether travel, moving equipment between locations and setup time fall within the booked session. If the business must stay open during filming, include that constraint in the brief.

These details help establish a usable production budget before the crew arrives. A recognisable backdrop is worth paying for when it contributes to the story; it should not displace the scenes customers need to understand the business.

Languages and final formats

Specify spoken language, on-screen information, subtitles and separate versions at the start. Include the language requirements for the finished advertisement in the brief. A subtitle version and a separately performed Arabic or English version are different production tasks.

Likewise, a horizontal website film and a vertical social edit may need different framing and structure. Tell the production team where the material will appear before filming, so essential action and text can work in the required versions.

Budget for videos you can actually use

The finished file is only useful if it meets the intended purpose and usage requirements.

If the video will run as an advertisement, specify that when commissioning it. Confirm the agreed use of the actor's performance, music and other third-party material, including any relevant channels, territories or duration. Do not assume that permission for an organic social post also covers paid advertising.

If your team needs raw footage or editable project files, request them explicitly. They are different deliverables from the finished video and should be addressed in the price.

Before approving the total, check whether it includes applicable VAT and any necessary extras. Keep media spend separate: paying to produce a video does not purchase the advertising distribution that may follow.

How to control cost without weakening the video

Choose the simplest format that can do the job. If customers need an explanation, a well-planned presenter video may be appropriate. If they need proof of a product in use or a facility's capabilities, capture that evidence rather than replacing it with a generic speech.

Group work that genuinely shares a setup. Several related explanations may be practical to record together. Separate locations, demonstrations and language performances still need enough time; more promised outputs do not create more filming capacity.

Plan useful derivatives before the shoot. If you need a main film and shorter edits, identify the standalone points each short version should communicate. A cropped export and a separately structured edit are not the same amount of work.

Protect the essentials. Reduce unnecessary scenes or versions before compromising the clarity of the message, readable information or usable sound. The cheapest file is poor value if your team cannot confidently publish it.

Get a production price that matches your business

Send a short brief explaining what the audience should understand or do, what must appear on camera, where filming would happen, the required languages and formats, and the intended use. Add relevant visual examples and a realistic budget ceiling.

For regular presenter-led output, compare your required videos with Lunasol's production plans. The defined monthly outputs make it easier to budget the content itself; bespoke films can be scoped around the scenes and message your business needs.
