To improve your chances of being recommended by ChatGPT in Dubai, make it easy to establish what your business does, who it serves, where it operates and why it fits a customer's specific request. Publish clear service information, resolve contradictory business details, support important claims with genuine evidence and check whether your website is accessible to search crawlers.

These are practical improvements you can control. They are not a published ChatGPT ranking formula or a guarantee of inclusion. The useful objective is to become a credible option for questions that could lead to business, rather than to make your name appear in one carefully worded test.

Start with the customer you can actually help

“Recommend a business in Dubai” is too broad to guide useful work. A customer may need a particular service, a nearby branch, a provider that visits their building, support in a particular language or a booking outside normal working hours.

Take a hypothetical AC maintenance company. Its useful questions might include:

  • “Which companies service apartment AC systems in Dubai Marina?”
  • “Who offers AC maintenance for several rental properties in JVC?”
  • “Which Dubai AC companies explain what their annual maintenance agreement excludes?”

These questions describe different purchases. A household booking, a landlord's portfolio and an annual contract require different evidence. Choose the questions that match services you genuinely deliver and customers you want to serve. Do not add an area, language or capability simply because it sounds attractive in a prompt.

Include questions that do not contain your business name. Asking ChatGPT to describe your company tests whether it can discuss you; it does not show that it would recommend you to a buyer who has never heard of you.

Build evidence around the reasons someone would choose you

Use the following worksheet to decide what to improve. It is a planning tool, not an AI scoring system. Complete it for one valuable service before expanding to your whole website.

Customer's requirement What your business must establish Useful evidence to publish or correct Who should verify it
The right service The exact work you perform and any exclusions A clear service page and an explanation of what happens after an enquiry Service manager
The right Dubai location A real branch or an area you actually serve Branch details, service-area information and practical access or visit conditions Operations lead
The right customer type Experience relevant to that customer's needs A specific project example, process explanation or permission-cleared case study Project owner
The right language The support you can actually provide Accurate language information and maintained content where relevant Customer support lead
Suitable terms Booking requirements, scope and any published pricing conditions Current offer details, exclusions and a working contact route Commercial lead

For the hypothetical AC company, “Dubai-wide expertise” is less useful to a buyer than a precise explanation of which properties it services, what inspection includes and how emergency attendance differs from routine maintenance. Those details also give a retrieved source something substantive to say about the business.

Prioritise gaps that could produce a wrong recommendation. An old address, a discontinued service or an inaccurate claim of Arabic support deserves attention before another general blog post. A business can become more visible and still lose the enquiry if the answer sends the customer to the wrong branch.

Make the relevant facts easy to find on your website

Give each important service a page that explains the actual offer. Keep essential facts in readable page text, rather than only in a brochure, an image or a sales representative's messages. Link the page from a sensible part of your website so visitors can reach it.

For Dubai businesses, distinguish a physical location from a service area. A company visiting customers in Business Bay should not describe itself as having a Business Bay office unless that is true. If different branches have different services or opening hours, make those differences clear.

Publish Arabic content when it serves a real audience and you can keep the offer and enquiry process accurate in that language. Do not assume an English result demonstrates visibility for Arabic questions. Equally, translating every page without a maintenance plan can introduce conflicting prices or service details.

There is no need to create a near-identical page for every Dubai neighbourhood. Create a separate location page when it can explain a genuine branch, different service conditions or useful local information.

Check search access without confusing it with training

Ask your website specialist to check whether robots rules or security controls block the public pages you want search systems to retrieve. OpenAI identifies OAI-SearchBot as its search crawler and GPTBot as a crawler for potential model training. Their permissions are independent: allowing search access does not require allowing training. OpenAI's crawler documentation.

Crawler access is a technical condition to investigate, not an endorsement. It does not establish that ChatGPT will retrieve a particular page or recommend the business described there.

Correct the wider picture of your business

Review the important profiles, directories and publications customers use in your category. Look for substantive contradictions: an old trading name, a closed branch, an outdated phone number or a service you no longer provide.

Keep genuine public feedback and relevant third-party evidence in view, but avoid treating every mention as equally valuable. A detailed account of work you actually performed can help a prospective customer evaluate you. Buying a large number of unrelated directory entries does not establish customer fit, and this guide does not claim that a particular review count triggers a ChatGPT recommendation.

Where another site has a material error, request a correction through its normal process. You cannot control whether a publisher makes the change or whether an assistant later uses it. Do not invent press coverage, customer reviews or independent-looking rankings to fill a perceived evidence gap.

Check what the answer actually says

When ChatGPT uses web search, it can show search results and citations in the conversation. Those sources provide something you can inspect instead of guessing why your company appeared or was omitted. ChatGPT's web search documentation.

Keep these outcomes separate:

  • Mention: your business name appears, possibly without a positive judgement.
  • Recommendation: the answer presents your business as an option for the customer's need.
  • Citation: a source is linked to support the answer; the source might be your website or another publisher.
  • Enquiry: someone actually contacts your business. A name appearing in an answer does not establish that this happened.

A citation to your maintenance guide is useful visibility, but it is not necessarily a recommendation to hire you. A recommendation based on an outdated directory deserves correction even if it initially looks like a win.

Repeat relevant questions under recorded conditions, including the date, language and location stated in the question. Save the actual answers and sources. A single favourable result is a sample observation, not proof that all Dubai customers see the same answer. If your company is absent, inspect the available evidence before concluding that you need more content.

Choose the next action from the gap

If your service is unclear, improve the service page. If the address is wrong, correct the source. If the page is inaccessible, fix access. If you cannot substantiate a claim, gather genuine evidence or remove the claim. If the business does not meet the customer's requirement, choose a more appropriate question instead of trying to force inclusion.

This approach also gives you a practical way to assess a GEO provider. Ask for the questions being targeted, the specific gaps found, the changes proposed and the person responsible for getting those changes live. Reports should distinguish work delivered from recommendations observed. Neither a content quota nor a promise to “train ChatGPT” is a substitute for that explanation.

Lunasol's GEO service in Dubai connects customer-question research, UAE competitor tracking and improvements to service content and online presence. That connection matters when a visibility report identifies a gap but your team needs help turning it into a published correction or a useful page.

Send Lunasol your website, the service you want to grow and the customers you want to reach. The starting point is a clear view of the evidence your business can improve, with no guarantee of control over ChatGPT's answers.
